Music in the Park
EVENT DATE: Friday, July 12th from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Grab a blanket and a lawn chair and come on out for our free summer concert series in Howard Station Park! Enjoy live music on Friday nights from 7:30-9 p.m. starting Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day.
Fins & Flights
EVENT DATE: Friday, July 12th from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Experience SEA LIFE like never before as you sample assorted beverages from local Kansas City breweries while gazing at sharks, rays, seahorses, jellies & more!
Sow What? Get Cooking in the Garden Summer Camp
EVENT DATE: Monday, July 15th through Friday, July 19th from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Plant It! Pick It! Eat It! Join the Powell Gardens team to learn about vegetable gardening and harvesting. Participants will learn about the origin of particular foods, how seeds are grown into vegetables, how to identify when it is time to pick particular items and will work in teams to make one recipe each day.
Yoga in the Streets
EVENT DATE: Friday, July 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Grab your yoga mat (and a friend) and meet us at City Hall Plaza for some outdoor summer yoga in Downtown Lee’s Summit! This event is hosted by Metanoia and classes will be led by qualified instructors. This event is free to the general public and all ages/skill levels welcome.
Christmas in July at the Lee’s Summit Farmers Market
EVENT DATE: Wednesday, July 24th from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Santa will be at the Farmers Market in his “summer outfit” taking pictures with kids. Customers can also enter to win a Farmers Market gift basket while shopping for fresh produce, baked goods, handmade crafts, and more!
