Jazzy B’s Diner 7 Day Shindig

EVENT DATE: Friday, Sept. 1st – Thursday, Sept. 7th

Join Jazzy B’s Diner as they celebrate one year of amazing business! For seven days, a portion of proceeds made will go to a different non-profit organization, the first night will benefit Pro Deo Youth Center. Enjoy live music Thursday – Sunday during the dinner special every night. Football Fundays

EVENT DATE: Sunday, Sept. 3rd – Sunday, Feb. 4th, 12-6 pm

Paradise Park is the best place for fanatic football families. Football Fundays are a winning combination of fun for families who want to keep score of the games and spend some time with the kids. Over 15 TV’s are mounted throughout the park so you won’t miss a game all season. Your favorite family snacks and adult beverages will be available at Paradise Cafe. Downtown Movie Night

City Hall Plaza on Green St

Inconceivable! September’s featured presentation is The Princess Bride, sponsored by Douglas Tire and Auto. Feel free to bring your blankets, chairs, and picnics to fully enjoy the movie.
This project is made possible through a crowdfunding campaign in partnership with ioby, National Main Street Center, and Project for Public Spaces.

Missouri Barn Dinner

EVENT DATE: Sunday, September 10th, 5-8 pm

Powell Gardens, Kansas City’s Botanical Garden, 1609 NW US Highway 50 Kingsville, MO

Powell Gardens’ Missouri Barn Dinner series features exclusive evenings with unique menus created by talented chefs from Kansas City and the surrounding areas. September’s event features chef John C. Smith of upcoming EJ’s Urban Eatery and previously of Happy Gillis. Every dinner is a celebration of the flavor and variety found in locally-grown crops, including freshly-gathered produce from our Heartland Harvest Garden.
