Microdermabrasion has many myths floating around about how it works, however, so we’d like to debunk a few of them.
First, treatments are not long and painful; in fact, they only last about thirty minutes. Second, at-home kits won’t get you the same results as working with professionals like us, so it’s worth getting the treatment done by professionals. Third, microdermabrasion is not dangerous, and there are no chemicals, needles, or knives involved. Fourth, there is no magic number of treatments needed for visible results, since everyone’s skin is different. Lastly, the price of microdermabrasion is, in fact, worth the improvement of the look and feel of your skin.
Similar to microdermabrasion, chemical peels help to minimize the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, scars, and hyperpigmentation–as well as certain types of acne.
