How Thermage® works:

The skin is made up of three layers: a visible outer layer called the epidermis, a collagen-rich underlayer beneath the surface called the dermis, and the inner layer beneath the dermis called the subcutaneous layer, also known as the fat layer that has a web of collagen fibers. The collagen in these layers breaks down due to sun exposure, heredity, and the normal aging process and your skin begins to sag and wrinkle. Treatments that work just on the surface of the skin can’t do anything to restore the collagen in those under layers of the skin. Thermage’s® unique Capacitive Radiofrequency (CRF) technology safely heats the underlayer and the web of collagen in the inner layer, causing immediate tightening, improved tone, and improved texture.
